Percee P, SoulStice, Kosha Dillz interviews by Vee One on Beat Trotterz Show - December 24th, 2008
Hey B.Boys & B.Girls,
How’ve ya’ll being doing?
Had a nice Christmas time?
Aahahahaah, good one, YOU’RE TUNED!
Well here’s the BEAT TROTTERZ Team bringing you its faithful support.
Let’s extend the celebration time with our daily sport, coz no matter the holidays on a feezing winter:
DESERTION IS NOT AN OPTION HERE!
I am Vee One.
Here, I write on behalf of Ya Boy, Lord Faz.
Ima introduce this new BEAT TROTTERZ SHOW if you please,
so far as it’s more than 3 hours time of stricly interviews & tracks on air:
me being the host of three Must to be Heard Emcees, with cuts on the crossfader by the Man who’s no failure...
Knowing you Ladies & Gents appreciate the fever we work hard to turn you on,
thanks for being a regular audience on MIXLAWAX.COM.
The BEAT TROTTERZ SHOW is dedicaded to Hip Hop music, you already know...
Therefore this fresh one’s a Special one with Special flows.
Three individual journeys into a Twilight, watta shame Basics ain’t no more our daily bright Classics.
I love MTV!
Shout out to my favotite show, the incredible Mad Televised Vanity!
Oh, ONE thing.
So far as it’s the first time you officialy hear about me on a MIXLAWAX newsletter,
let me introduce myself, that’s the least to do...
Hum, suggestion: have a drink and relax... I talk too much!!!
I’ve been doing interviews since 13 years now, call me a journalist if you like,
I do my job as it’s supposed to be done.
No way Ima approach somebody without having studying a bit before,
that’d be respectless, and damn it, I’VE GOT RESPECT.
I personnally consider myself more as a curious and passionate regular individual,
looking forward happiness throught what I’m easy on doing: writing from any kind of life experiences.
Still, if what I do is called journalism it’s alright.
But hey! Get me right I’m NO COP!
Means I DO NOT ask straight questions demanding precise answers.
I’d rather try to get into a cool talk, where I allow myself to speak personal opinions when it’s welcome,
so something deeper’s happening.
Also I just couldn’t remain frozen when my heart needs to express itself, but most of all,
when the funk happens and I’m being hit by unexpected reactions,
THEN I’ve got some SUBSTANCE to grow on.
I can really a reality that’s beyond an album, feeling the artist personnality and charisma.
Then only I guess my report is truly representative with them quotes and own words,
since I’VE FELT THE PERSON WHO’S BEEN GENEROUS TO ME.
It does remain promotion, still my Friends we’ve got some whipe cream with the cherry on top!!!
This is it: EXCHANGE WORDS, THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS, GET INTO A CONVERSATION.
THEN I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BRING OUT REAL SUPPORT TO SOMEONE’S CREATION.
Now call me insane or crazy, I AM!
Hope you’ll appreciate it!
Back to the BEAT TROTTERZ SHOW, it’s gonna take you for a ride...
Journey number One:
THE LEGENDARY LETHAL LYRICIST INSPECTOR PERCEE P.
Two decades of working hard without a break, still staying in the media shadow,
but believing in what’s was meant to blow.
An extraordinary tale’s been explained, as the Man’s no slave to that “cash rules” most wanted,
fame, or playing dumb game.
A lesson on a definition: PERCEVERANCE.
Doing his thing in silence’s made PERCEE P a King, some incarnation of true Hip Hop self made crazy swing.
PERCEVERANCE represents some natural ELEGANCE.
Words spread out peacefuly about the birth and uprise of his self made life,
passionate and humble PERCEE P IS FOR SURE A LIVING LEGEND, RESPECT.
FAITH and DIGNITY, then YES, SUCCESS!
Journey number Two:
It’s all LOVE and WISENESS from a mature Man living it to the fullest.
A business and private life run out like a daily marathon, empowered by FAITH and STRENGH.
An encouragment in our lifetime struggle to reach PERFECTION,
remaining aware we’re never to erase our human UNPERFECTION,
still acknowledge the fact that being STRONG, when things turn bad, is THE ONLY WEAPON.
Thanks SOULSTICE’s got the right words so we ain’t breaking it down.
No matter how hard it is you gotta make it by any means.
Here’s what the SMART and MATURE Man means.
Journey number three:
Feel some frillz, you shall not miss the thrillz: when is it an emcee has given props
on an entire album to the Jewish community, LOUD AND PROUD, to the Hip Hop crowd?
With C-Rayz Walz aside, that’s fresh and fun, still hear it correctly coz it means A LOT.
From being a young B. Boy dancing with the devil, KOSHA’s soon to be recognized as a PROTAGONIST,
number one official Jewish Hip Hop vibe Spokeman, DILLZ’s made the deal on the real.
With no further due, thanks to the young Sir KOSHA, when his SHALOM means PEACE & FREEDOM.
Now you should know: we don’t do it on the low.
No pretention, just facts my Brothers and Sisters.
Would you go further with me before you go and check the funk out?
It’s as you like.
Welcome in or keep out, whatever you’re choice is, be safe where you stand at!
It’s been a while since what we testify a mess.
Some Rap Star’s attitude IS NOT appropriate here.
TOO MUCH BANG FOR THE BUCKS.
Homies what’s up?
This “What’s Hip Hop?” permanent debate is some polution where there shouldn’t be no question.
It’s both sad and funny, I do believe you’ll agree.
Lorz Faz & I are often talk about those sudden and violent waves in the Culture,
since when it was born to where it’s at now.
Damn me, it takes us some time sometimes!
NOW AND BEFORE I DROP A THROW UP,
LET US ALL PACK BACK OUR MINDS AND AGREE ON ONE FACT:
RAP AIN’T HIP HOP.
RAP IS PART OF HIP HOP.
KNOW YOUR CLASSICS OR DIE TRYING!
We’re soon to give a kiss to 2009, it’s time for us to stand up again with some real pride,
when RAP MUSIC IS NUMBER FUCKING ONE WORLDWIDE.
Well, here’s what I think when it comes to talk ‘bout that.
Bunch of peeps trying to sell their own definition of what’s Hip Hop, only and strickly on some promo flow!
Ya’ll know what I’m talking about...
No disrespect to them long timer Stars in the game, who’ve started it for the love of music,
getting out of NO WHERE BUT SOME DEAD ZONE,
FIGHTING ON THEIR OWN AND BECAUSE OF THEIR SKILLS REACHING THE RED CARPETS.
Now don’t get me wrong, being succesful and glitter ain’t no sin!
When I hear and see stuffs on the media poluted network,
when it’s not on some professional appointment that are just TOO MUCH, it makes me be like:
“WHAT’S UP IN HERE?”
“IS THIS IT?”
Some dumb reality shows run better flows!
Since WHEN a rapper has a once of a right to predent he/she can redefine Hip Hop?
WHAT excatly allows an artist to yell “I’ve got the real mc coy here,
ya’ll better come by MY side and check it out, other stuffs has passed away!”
The quotes are unlimited, ridiculous & crazy as fuck, it always keeps me stuck.
May be we should record ‘em for the next beat Trotterz Show so we have some hilarious festivities prolongations!
Don’t be fooled My.
“DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE”, here’s the NUMBER ONE rule!
Doing it, back in the days, “FOR THE LOVE OF HIP HOP”, remains a fact for numerous celebrities.
Now there’s a mad crisis in the music industry NO ONE can escape.
So ya’ll Rap Stars feeling the economic status as a menace to what ya’ve got used too,
please do us all a favor when you look yourself in the mirror:
FACE THE TRUTH!
YOUR WAY OF LIFE HAS CHANGED FROM STARVING TO LIVING LARGE
AND THAT’S NOTHING WRONG, WTF?!!
POP MUSIC IS NO CRIME, ACTUALLY IT’S THE PROOF OF RAP’S SUCCESSFUL
IMPACT ON EVERYKIND OF PEOPLE, THOSE WHO AT FIRST WERE FEARING US,
CALLING US REJECTS AND ALL THAT CRAP... THEY’RE FANS NOW!
AND AS A MATTER OF FACT, IT’S COMMERCIAL RAP THAT MADE IT HAPPEN SO
THIS NEW AUDIENCE GO CRATE AND GET TO LEARN ABOUT THE RAP HISTORY,
THEN APPRECIATE WHAT’S BEEN FOUND,
THEN BUY MORE AND MORE!
DON’T YOU LIKE THEIR CASH ADDING SOME BUTTER ON YOUR BREAD?!!
WHERE’S THE PROBLEM YOU’RE DOING SOME WHEN AT THE END IT’S POSITIVE?
COZ GOING FURTHER, ISN’T IT COOL UNKNOWN ARTISTS WILL BECOME FAMOUS
BECAUSE OF ONE OF YOUR LONG LASTING HIT ON HOT 97,
THEN THE MAJOR RADIOS ALLOW INDIES TO PASS
BY SOMETIMES JUST TO MAKE IT SOUND RAW?
IT’ S ALRIGHT YOUR MUSIC CHANGES SINCE YOU’VE CHOSEN SO!
NOW STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE EVERYBODY YOU’VE GOT THE “NU FLAVOR FOR OUR EARS”!
STICK ‘EM LIES IN YOUR ASS, WE DON’T NEED ‘EM THANX.
BE A MAN AND STAND UP PROUD IN ACCORDANCE TO YOUR ACTUALITY AND REALITY.
ALL THOSE STUPID FAKE ATTITUDES AND SHIT SHOULD BE PROHIBITED.
ESPECIALLY AS NO ONE QUESTION THE FACT THAT HAVING CASH
AND LOVING IT IS FUCKING COOL!!!
“I love Hip Hop, I live Hip Hop, I am Hip Hop”
What about all your hummers, limos and residences you’ve got all over?
Would you put ‘em on sale so you ACTUALLY REMAIN HIP HOP?
ALSO TO END UP ON THIS, REMEMBER WHAT’S HIP HOP.
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD A GRAFFITI ARTIST YELLING “I’M THE HIP HOP REVIVAL”,
WHEN SINCE HE/SHE FIRST STARTED BLASTING TOP TO BOTTOM,
BOMBING WHOLE CARS AND TODAY
HE/SHE’S HAVING OIL PAINTINGS IN GALLERIES WORLWIDE?
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD A BREAK DANCER SCREAMING
“I AM THE REVIVAL OF HIP HOP”,
SHOWING UP THE CHECK HE/SHE’S WON ON A BATTLE IN FRONT OF A CROWD SITTING IN
A STADIUM INSTEAD OF ‘EM OLD SCHOOL WALKING DOWN THE STREET SPECTATORS?
Here’s how I feel.
The fuck stink, since Hip Hop, to my knowlegde, is suppose to be only and strictly about:
PEACE, UNITY, LOVE AND HAVING FUN.
So whoever you might be & however big is the brick you’ve add on todays unbreackable wall:
It’s all good you’ve got skillz and ride on some hot wheelz.
It’s a blessing you’re making a living out of some passion you’ve grown on.
‘Course you deserve it all when you’re music’s so fresh you blow headz up.
Sure respect’s due when you’re vinyls have turned collectors.
And yes we love it when the DJ puts fiya on the dancefloor with one of you’re high tune.
Still talking about a Culture, a Lifestyle that’s promised to survive the foggy future, here’s my word:
DON’T YOU DARE BE A THIEF OF WHAT WAS BORN BEFORE YOU’VE HAD YOUR FIRST TEETH,
WHEN SPONTANOUS EXCLUSIVE EMOTIONS IN MOTION HAVE BE GIVEN,
HAPPENING FOR FREE,
IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM,
RUNNING OUT FROM THE STREETS OF SOME HORRORDOME.
WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU CHILD?
HAVEN’T YOU LEARN WHAT IS TAKES TO BE WILD???
Figure this out:
If “Hip Hop is Dead” statement makes you doubting as fuck,
turn MTV off and think about what really rocks.
Don’t bother on empty headz whose carreers will remain a blink,
turn your shit on some dope Slick Rick!
SUCH NAMES ARE WORTH BEING SICK!
Ya feel me here?
If “I am Hip Hop” statement makes you laugh, welcome to the club and please laugh louder,
coz those words come out of ‘em sold outs mouthes,
punk asses sipping on Christal their Major had to pay for ‘em to have some fun
for a few days and smile like it’s for real!
If “We’re Hip Hop Revival” statement keeps you stuck, so far as you know real Hip Hop never stopped,
crash on your Tale Hell Vision, then click on MIXLAWAX.COM!
That’s it, whatever the fuck.
Hip Hop’s NOT ON SALE,
IT’S NO ONE’S PROPERTY,
NOR IT’S A TREND TO BE UPDATED TWO TIMES A YEAR,
THE SUMMER COLLECTION AND THE WINTER ONE!!!
Thanx if you’re at this point of my writing, it’s cool you took the time.
Now you know a bit of who I am since you’ve read dat first flow for you,
you know even better what’s on MiXlaWaX Radio.
Our purpose is to discover, listen, observe, appreciate, work, then GIVE.
I can give as much as you want, you’ve just witnessed that,
sorry I take loooooong when it comes to writing!
Now precisely about that journalism stuff, if it happens I turn an enquirer,
a sort of a profiler looking forward betrayer, I’m not to stay no longer.
My greed as a passionate shall give an artsit a chance to feed me,
so I try my best to share with honesty.
Ya’ll might find me weird here?
For damn sake WHY should all this actually please you?
“Can’t you just give the infos then go back to whatever you like?”
Okay, got you!
Do you think me feeling some shame has its chance on dat one?
HELLZ THE HELL OUT NO!
THE DIFFERENCE MAKES THE REFERENCE!!!
My Words’ My Swords My Swords’ My Words.
That’s my WORD!
And it’s now I feel to say:
I’M PEACE THE FUCK OUT!
Take it easy...
